February is Takahata Month

This is where I admit to building this plane as I fly it! Due to feedback and wanting to make this newsletter as useful and enjoyable to the reader as possible starting February 1st there will be a new format.

Every month. will have a theme. This theme may be a creator, a studio, or a basic subject. On the 1st of the month we examine 5 essential animations based on that theme. On the 11th we look deeply into a hidden gem and on the 21st we look deeply into what would be considered the totemic masterpiece.

For February that theme is director Isao Takahata.
